Saluting Service: Mocksville and Davie County Unite to Honor Our Veterans All November Long

2025-11-04T16:20:45-05:00

Every November, Mocksville pauses to honor the brave men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform. These heroes are not distant figures—they’re our family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. They’re the people we see in line at the grocery store or cheering from the sidelines at a ballgame, each with a story of courage and sacrifice that helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy every day. This year, our community will once again come together through heartfelt tributes, ceremonies, and acts of gratitude to celebrate Davie County’s Veterans. From local school assemblies to tree lightings and picnics, there are countless ways [...]

The Town Manager’s Corner October-December

2025-09-25T12:09:00-04:00

Downtown Mocksville has been a long-time gathering place for families and friends. We are fortunate that the Town Commissioners continue to invest in infrastructure improvements, such as mast arm poles for stoplights, new streetlights, sidewalk improvements, and streetscape improvements in front of and across the courthouse, among others. New investments have been made with the expansion of restaurants and shops. We now understand that the former American Café, located beside The Factory Coffee House, will be transformed into a new restaurant.  With growth and new capital investments comes a responsibility to strategically plan for future infrastructure investments. I am pleased to [...]

Join the Town of Mocksville on Thursday, July 31, at 11:30 a.m. at Main Street Park as we unveil the newest addition to our vibrant downtown scene: the Community Piano. This creative and heartwarming project is a labor of love by Sean Lane, an intern for the Town of Mocksville and a devoted advocate for the arts and community engagement. 2025-07-26T17:51:37-04:00

As a long-time resident of Mocksville, let me say what an absolute honor it is to serve the community I love as Town Manager. I look forward to working with the town staff to continually improve our services while being mindful of expenses. The Mocksville Board of Commissioners adopted the 2025-2026 Budget on June 3, 2025. A Message from the Mayor: Summer 2025

2025-07-23T18:11:07-04:00

Summer is here! School is out, the days are getting hotter, and the kids are home looking for something to do. For all the folks who missed the June 3rd Mocksville Town Board meeting, a proclamation was read declaring June 15th-21st as Parks and Grounds Week. During our meeting, we took time to recognize the hard work of our Parks Department in keeping Rich Park and Downtown Park looking great and in helping create a welcoming environment for everyone in our town and county. At the request of my son (the one who lives in Arizona), I had the opportunity last [...]
