The Town of Mocksville is cleaning out and offering surplus items by electronic auction at www.GovDeals.com/mocksvillenc. GovDeals’ online marketplace provides services to government, educational, and related entities for the sale of surplus assets to the public.
“The Town uses GovDeals to dispose of surplus property because this format allows anyone to bid on items from their own home and this tends to bring in more money as a result. The Town uses funds from the sale of surplus property to fund operations and this helps keep the tax rate low,” said Town Manager Ken Gamble.
Items will change on a regular basis so check back regularly by clicking here.
The selling of surplus items is in accordance with North Carolina G.S. 160A-270(c) and in compliance with the finance policy.
