What is the Tourism Development Board?
The elected Mocksville Town Board of Commissioners, for the purpose of advertising and promoting tourism in the Town of Mocksville, established the Town of Mocksville Tourism Development Authority (MTDA) on December 7th, 2010 and appointed its board members.
Each year, the MTDA Board of Directors approves and advises tourism-related expenses and topics. The MTDA board, comprising a representative from the Mocksville Town Board, Davie County Tourism, and influential figures from Mocksville’s business community, contributes innovative ideas and valuable perspectives.
The MTDA Board meets quarterly to discuss, plan, and execute tourism events, as well as decide on grants that can increase tourism.
