Shamrock Run 5K & 0.0K – March 16th!
Shamrock 5K & 0.0K – Saturday, March 16th, 8:15 a.m.
Neither snow, rain, heat, nor gloom of night will stay these leprechauns from the swift completion of their race. The Shamrock Run 5K & 0.0K Run will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, beginning at 8:15 a.m.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Cognition Davie and Davie County Community Park.
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church started the Shamrock Run in 1988 as a church fundraiser. Later, the church decided to have a greater impact on the community by sponsoring organizations that help those in need. The Shamrock Run raised thousands for organizations in need throughout Davie County, including Habitat for Humanity, the Dragonfly House, Davie Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center, the Davie County Pregnancy Care Center, Hospice & Palliative Care of Davie County, and the Davie Family YMCA.
Now, the mantel has been passed to the Rotary Club of Mocksville. The Town of Mocksville and the Rotary Club of Mocksville thank St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for all of the years of hosting this great run!
Course description
The race begins at O’Callahans, 115 N. Main Street, flat run through downtown Mocksville, down Main Street to the greenways at Rich Park, a slight incline by Mocksville Elementary School and the YMCA, and back to O’Callahans.
