Spring and Summer bring out the best in Mocksville. The Town is committed to providing family-friendly opportunities to enjoy downtown events, including the 20th Annual Daniel Boone Festival on Saturday, May 2nd, and the Farmers' Market opening on May 6th. We can’t forget the beginning of downtown Cruise-In’s, the first Monday of each month as well. Mocksville can add the title “home” baseball team beginning in May. The Davie Crocketts college-age baseball team will call Mocksville’s Mando field home for the summer. What a great opportunity to enjoy America’s favorite pastime with friends and family. The 35th Annual Shamrock Run is in the history books. The race is over, and the medals have all been handed out. We have packed up the tents and put away the signs until next year. Coming together as a community is what living in a “small town” is all about. I love seeing the runners who come out each year and support the non-profits that benefit from the annual run. Mocksville Planning for the Future with Comprehensive Plan Update and First Downtown Master Plan

Residents invited to participate in upcoming public workshops to help shape downtown’s future The Town of Mocksville is continuing an important planning effort that will guide future growth, strengthen downtown, and help preserve the community character that residents value most. During the Mocksville Town Board’s March meeting, consultants with Benchmark Planning presented an update on the Town’s Comprehensive Plan update and the development of Mocksville’s first-ever Downtown Master Plan.
