The most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching, and Mocksville is gearing up for two spectacular events: the “Twas the Night Before” Bed Race and the Hometown Christmas Parade! It’s time to gather your team or design your float and join the festive fun!

On Your Mark, Get Set, GO! – “Twas the Night Before” Bed Race

Friday, November 22nd at 6 p.m.

It’s the race everyone’s been waiting for! Watch as daring teams zoom down Main Street on bed sleds, decked out in over-the-top costumes and decorations! Whether you’re racing for speed or for style, there’s something for everyone in this zany competition.

Businesses, churches, non-profits, and individuals are all welcome to join in the action and compete for the chance to win part of the $700 in cash prizes. The Mocksville Tourism Authority brings you this much-anticipated event, which always draws big crowds and bigger cheers!

Cash Prizes Await the Champions:

  • Speed Contest: 1st place takes home $200, 2nd place wins $125, and 3rd place gets $75.
  • Creative Contests: Show off your team’s style with $100 prizes for the Most Team Spirit, Most Original Design, and Best Overall Package, which includes bed decoration, costumes, and theme.

  • Pick up packets at Mocksville Town Hall (171 S. Clement St.) or find them on the Twas the Night Before Bed Race Facebook page.

Ring in the Holiday Cheer with the Hometown Christmas Parade!

Saturday, December 7th at 2 p.m.

Kick off the season in style with Mocksville’s Hometown Christmas Parade! This year’s theme, “Santa’s Workshop,” invites businesses, schools, churches, and community groups to join in the celebration.

With floats, performances, and even horses, the parade is always a joyful showcase of creativity and holiday spirit! Not only is it a festive tradition, but it’s also a chance to win cash prizes.
