Every year, Downtown Mocksville hosts a wealth of concerts, outdoor movies, festivals, and special events. But did you know that the Mocksville Tourism Development Authority (MTDA) also welcomes grant proposals from both non-profit and for-profit organizations for special projects and events that are designed to attract visitors to Downtown Mocksville?
“If your event encourages folks to come to Downtown and Davie County, share your idea and see if we can assist with some financial support. We want more visitors as well as our local citizens to enjoy this Town and all we have to offer,” said Mocksville Community Development Director Tami Langdon.
The grants are funded through the Town’s portion of the county’s hotel occupancy tax and are reviewed by the MTDA, which assists with the development and marketing of Mocksville’s tourism attractions, assets, and potential tourism sites. The MTDA board, made up of a representative of the Mocksville Town Board and Davie County Tourism, as well as Mocksville business owners and leaders, provides innovative ideas and dynamic perspectives.
“With their leadership, Downtown Mocksville continues to grow and become a place for all ages to enjoy,” said Langdon.
This year, the MTDA is pleased to present grants for the following events.
