Holiday spirits were high as thousands lined the streets Saturday, December 3rd, for one of Mocksville’s most beloved traditions, the Mocksville Hometown Christmas Parade.
The crowd waved and children scrambled for candy as the dozens of participants, everything from walking groups, performers, single vehicles to full-blown floats, and of course, Santa Claus, traveled down Main and Depot Streets.
Mocksville Community Development Coordinator Tami Langdon appreciates all of the parade entrants and said that the points were very close for awarding top prizes.
The winners of the 2021 Mocksville Hometown Christmas Parade are:

Don’t miss the Advance Christmas Parade, Saturday, December 10th, and the Cooleemee Christmas Parade, Saturday, December 17th!
While the best places to live in America have enough “community” to put on a well-attended parade, Davie County has enough “community” to put on THREE parades this year Christmas ~ one in Mocksville, one in Advance, and one in Cooleemee!
The Advance Christmas Parade is on Saturday, December 10th, at 10 a.m., rain or shine. It begins at Shady Grove Elementary School (3179 Cornatzer Road, Mocksville) and follows Cornatzer Road, turning right onto Highway 801, left on Peoples Creek Road, and ends at Peoples Creek Road and Magnolia Acres. Advance United Methodist Church’s fellowship hall will be open during the parade with light refreshments and bathroom access.
The Cooleemee Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 17th, at 2 p.m. beginning at Cooleemee Elementary School.
