Give the gift of life. The Mocksville Fire Department is hosting a blood drive on Friday, September 9th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The drive will be held in the big red bus that will be located outside the fire department at 335 Sanford Avenue. Donors will receive a $20 e-gift card, cancer awareness t-shirt and socks, and a wellness checkup including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening. “Giving blood will cost you nothing, but it will save a life!” said Mocksville Fire Chief Frank Carter. Mocksville Amends Rose Cemetery Rules for Safety and Maintainability

Parks and Grounds Director Chris Vaughn shows a notification sign that will be placed next to graves that violate the new Rose Cemetery rules. The Town of Mocksville loves to see residents honor their loved ones buried at Rose Cemetery. However, for the safety of staff and visitors and proper maintenance, the Town Board made some changes to the rules at its July meeting.
