Do you have an idea for a project or event that would attract visitors to Mocksville but need funding assistance to make it happen?
The Mocksville Tourism Development Authority (MTDA) is currently accepting grant proposals from both non-profit and for-profit organizations for special projects and events that are designed to attract visitors to our community.
“If your event encourages folks to come to Downtown and Davie County, share your idea and see if we can assist with some financial support. We want more visitors as well as our local citizens to enjoy this Town and all we have to offer,” said Mocksville Community Development Director Tami Langdon.
These grants are funded through the Town’s portion of the county’s hotel occupancy tax and are reviewed by the MTDA which assists with the development and marketing of Mocksville’s tourism attractions, assets, and potential tourism sites.
Last year, grant funds supported the Davie County Recreation and Parks summer concert series and food truck rodeo, the fish fry and duck race at RiverPark in Cooleemee, and cycling events organized by Farmington Community Association Cycling.
