Strong Economic Growth Continues for Mocksville

2021-11-29T12:20:40-05:00

I continue to be impressed by how well Mocksville and Davie County work together with the Economic Development Commission to create opportunities for our residents and grow the tax base. I began my job as Town Manager in May and since that time Mocksville has had the privilege to announce new businesses coming to the community like the Scott Bader Company and DFA USA. There is also strong support for business expansions like the one Liberty Storage Solutions is currently undertaking. Just these three businesses will create 134 good-paying jobs and invest almost $25,000,000 in Mocksville. This does not include projects [...]

On top of all of that, there are football games, soccer matches, tennis matches, and all kinds of sporting events going on for you to attend in and around the [...]

Christmas Decorating In Mocksville

2021-11-15T12:22:28-05:00

Austin Hill hangs a Christmas banner. Preparations for Christmas begin early in the Town of Mocksville. Long before Halloween, Public Works employees began checking and repairing the thousands of feet of lights that line each downtown business to ensure that they will be ready to be turned on for the “Twas the Night Before” bed race on November 19th.  Between taking care of the lights on the buildings, water tower, trees in the planters, and oaks on the square and hanging the Christmas banners throughout the downtown area, the department of eleven spends hundreds of hours preparing for the [...]

Tax deductible contributions should be made payable to Historic Davie, Inc. These contributions will be presented to Davie County Hero’s Fund for local veteran services. You may download and print the form here, or visit the Davie County Chamber of Commerce or the Mocksville Town Hall. Both will [...]
