The Town of Mocksville’s Interim Chief of Police, Tim Parks, is stepping down on February 26 for family obligations.
The former Chief of Police for Yadkinville, North Carolina came out of retirement in November to assist the Mocksville Police Department during its search for a new Chief of Police at the request of Interim Town Manager Lynn Trivette. Parks has over 35 years of law enforcement experience.
“I want to thank the Board, Mayor Marklin, and Town Manager Lynn Trivette for the opportunity to serve as Interim Chief of Police in Mocksville. I have made many new friends and wish the town the very best!!” said Parks. “I also want to thank the members of Mocksville Police Department for welcoming me into their family these last four months, I will continue to pray for the safety of these men and women on a daily basis.”
The Town of Mocksville is grateful for his service.
“ I am grateful for the time that Interim Chief of Police Parks has given to the Town of Mocksville. I appreciate his leadership experience and his services to our community for this short period of time,” said Trivette.
She said that Mocksville will soon have a new Town Manager who will complete the hiring process for a Chief of Police. Interim Town Manager Lynn Trivette will work closely with the highest-ranking officer during the transitions.
