Who Can Be Tested & NEW Call Center Information

Anyone who has been exposed or has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 may make an appointment to be tested, or may simply show up at either site.

Testing is open to all, including persons from other counties.

Children ages 1 to 18 can be tested when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and interpreters will be available for Spanish speaking persons.

While insurance is accepted, no ID or insurance is required. OptumServe will generate a unique identification number for individuals who do not have an ID or driver’s license. The cost of testing will be covered by NC DHHS for those without insurance or who are underinsured.

OptumServe offers two options to register for appointments; Internet registration at https://lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling (877) 562-4850. If you are registering children under 18 registration should be made by phone. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.

There is also a new call-center open at the County Emergency Operations Center where people can call for information about the mass testing program. The number is 336-753-6540.
