Celebrate the holidays in charming historic downtown Mocksville! Come dine, shop, and play all through the season with your family and friends. There’s something for everyone, so dress warm and come on down!
Holiday Pop-Up Market – December 3
Let’s kick off the holiday season with a pop-up market! The fabulous farmers, producers, and crafters from the Mocksville Farmers Market will have their very best for your holiday shopping! Join us from 3 – 5:30 p.m. at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater, 105 S. Salisbury Street.
Ice Sculptures in the Park & Treasures for Christmas – December 12
You will be in awe as Chef Al Romano, owner of Fire and Ice, and his crew carve, chisel, and shape simple blocks of ice into stunning works of art. The team will be creating three ice sculptures beginning at 1 p.m. at Main Street Park, located at 192 N. Main Street.
Gift-giving is a cherished Christmas tradition. From noon – 4 p.m., many of the downtown merchants will be offering stations for making a gift for a loved one that will be treasured for years to come. While you are there, check out the unique selection of gifts and pick up a little something for those special people on your list. Each merchant has an elf that is doing weekly promotions inside their store. Check out Mocksville on Facebook for the latest Elf on a Shelf sighting.
Visit With Santa and Mrs. Claus & Davie Community Band – December 19
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Main Street Park from 2 – 5 p.m. to visit with the children. You can stop by and talk with Santa but there will be no sitting on his lap this year. Santa’s mailbox will also be set up for all of those last-minute letters.
After a visit with Santa, do a little shopping, grab a snack at Scoops Ice Cream Shop, The Factory Coffeehouse, or The Station, or enjoy dinner at a delicious downtown restaurant while you get ready to revel in the sounds of the Davie Community Band. The band, which is made up of volunteers from 7th grade to retirees, will stroll throughout the downtown area playing all of your favorite Christmas carols from 6-7:30.
