Town of Mocksville Appoints Interim Police Chief
The Town of Mocksville has appointed Tim Parks, the former Chief of Police for Yadkinville, North Carolina, as its interim police chief.
“Chief Parks brings a wealth of experience having served in the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office for 8 years, Yadkinville Police Department in patrol for 7 years, and as police chief in Yadkinville for 20 years. Chief Parks retired from the Yadkinville Police Department two years ago and has felt led to serve as the Interim Police Chief here in Mocksville,” said Interim Town Manager Lynn Trivette.
Speaking on behalf of the Mocksville Police Department, Police Chief Pat Reagan said, “Along with his lengthy police career, Chief Parks brings a positive attitude, progressive leadership style, and a community approach with him to Mocksville. The staff can expect a smooth transition with little disruption to the services we have already established.”
Chief Parks is excited about the appointment. “I am extremely honored for the opportunity to serve as the Interim Police Chief for Mocksville,” he said. “I will work hard with the community and our leaders to keep Mocksville moving in a positive direction.”
Chief Parks’ first day of employment is Monday, November 2nd and he will be working with Chief Reagan until November 30th. The Mayor and Board of Commissioners will introduce Chief Parks during its regular meeting on November 3rd. Chief Parks will assist the town in selecting the next chief of police.
