Additional Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Davie County, NC
Davie County Health and Human Services Director, Suzanne Wright, announced this morning that Davie County has 2 additional lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19. Please click here for more information about this. Ms. Wright also issued a statement yesterday after the county’s second lab-confirmed case, noting measures that residents should take to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Executive Order 121 in Effect March 30- April 29, 2020
North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper, held a press conference this afternoon and issued Executive Order 121, which is effective on 5 p.m. on Monday until April 29th and includes stay at home provisions. The President and NC Governor’s Executive Orders and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Order of Hazard Abatement supersede the current Davie County State of Emergency Declaration (as the local Emergency Declaration remains unchanged since the last update). Davie County Government will continue to provide essential services to our residents allowable under North Carolina’s Executive Order 121.

Together, our community has pulled together to help support our businesses who remain open, find employment opportunities for those who have been impacted by closures, partnered with churches and nonprofits to help those in need, and our school system has done a fabulous job of serving the needs of their children and families.
