15th Annual Tractor Show and Parade – July 4th and 5th, 2014 – Piedmont Antique Power Association

PAPA-TractorOn Friday and Saturday, July 4th and 5th, the Piedmont Antique Power Association (PAPA) will present the 15th Annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show at the Masonic Picnic Grounds behind Brock Center in historic downtown Mocksville.

Gates open both days at 8 am.  Admission is free and there will be something for everyone on both days.  On both days you will be able to see all typed of tractors, hit and miss engines and other type of farm equipment.  On both days you will be able to enjoy wagon rides through Rich Park and historic downtown Mocksville until sunset.  On both days children will be able to enjoy kiddie train rides throughout the show grounds.  On both days children will also be able to bounce the day away in the monster truck bounce house.  On Both days you will be able to dunk your best friend in the dunking booth.  Come prepared to get wet.

Food, beverages, ice cream, great food, music, contests, events, parade and plenty of farm related events and demonstrations.  The schedule for both days follows.

Friday, July 4th – Gates Open at 8:00 AM – Free Admission

  • Noon Tractor Games at the Track
  • 2:00 PM Watermelon Eating Contest
  • 2:30 PM FREE Watermelon until gone
  • 5:00 PM BINGO (Sponsored by Davie County Senior Services)
  • 6:00 PM Opening Ceremony – under picnic shelter
  • 6:30 PM MUSIC = “Gaining Ground” – under picnic shelter
  • 5:30 PM Tractor skill events, kiddie pedal race, ladies frying pan toss
  • 7:00 PM Cow Pie Bingo (sign up all day, $5 entry fee)

Saturday, July 5th – Gates Open at 8:00 AM – Free Admission

  • 9:00 AM Parade line-up and drivers meeting
  • 10:00 AM Parade through historic downtown Mocksville
  • 11:30 AM Kiddie pedal pull on track
  • 1:30 PM Auction Sale – under picnic shelter
  • 3:00 PM Raffle Drawing – 1951 Farmall C Wide Front End of $3,000
