Elvis Tribute Band- Taylor Vaden and the Memphis Thunder at 6 pm

Don’t be a hound dog, put on your blue suede shoes and come reminisce to the sounds of Taylor Vaden and the Memphis Thunder, an incredible Elvis tribute band, from 6-7:30 pm.

Taylor’s performance highlights the persona of Elvis as well as his musical career.

Taylor began his musical journey at the tender age of 7 as an Elvis tribute artist. At 10 years old he performed in front of a sold out audience at Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem. At 12 he learned to play the guitar and joined the church band and found his true calling as a Contemporary Christian singer and songwriter.  In 2012, Taylor found himself playing guitar and singing back-up vocals for American Idol finalist, Chelsea Sorrell, at local concerts and festivals. They opened for acts such as Charlie Daniels, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, Florida-Georgia Line, Colt Ford and more. He released his own Christian album in 2013.

Today, Taylor continues to perform his Elvis Tribute shows while following his heart and writing and performing Contemporary Christian music.

Memphis Thunder
Memphis Thunder, an authentic 50’s era band, is made up of Taylor Vaden as lead vocals/acoustic guitar, Brad Ford on drums, Todd Phillips on upright bass/background vocals,  and Scott Williams on electric guitar/background vocals. Together they won first place in the non-pro division Elvis Tribute Artist Contest at the 2016 Myrtle Beach Elvis Festival held at Legends in Concert. This year they were named the 2017 Georgia Elvis Festival Non-Pro Champions.

Beach, Motown, R&B, and Classic Soul- Silk Groove Band at 8 pm
Silk Groove is an energetic and dynamic eleven-piece show band made up of multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated musicians and vocalists featuring live horns, bass, keyboard, guitar and drums. Their performances include the sweets sounds of legendary groups like the Drifters, the Temptations, and Journey, as well as solo artists like Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
