Mocksville Police Department Announces Organizational Assessment

On Tuesday, October 1st, The Mocksville Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the recommendations and implementation timeline from Developmental Associates’ organizational assessment for the Mocksville Police Department. Developmental Associates was retained at the August 20th Board Meeting to assist The Town of Mocksville regarding a staffing and performance assessment of the Mocksville Police Department.  Developmental Associates, LLC has more than 30 years’ experience in performing management and human resources consulting in North Carolina.

The Mocksville Police Department is committed to the philosophy that effective and efficient police services are critically important to community success and image. Senior Consultants Chief and Chief Pat Bazemore worked with staff to develop a thorough assessment and specific recommendations regarding the provision of law enforcement services in the community.  After review, Mocksville Police Chief, Pat Reagan, noted, “Our department appreciates the feedback from Chief Bazemore and Chief Moss and we believe their input will help our agency continue its progressive development and be better prepared for the future.”

The results of the study detail areas of improved effectiveness for the Mocksville Polie Department.  All of these recommendations are focused on improving communication, efficiency and accountability for officers and staff at every level of the department.  As a result, the Board of Commissioners has recommended implementing these items in a timely fashion.  The implementation will begin immediately.
