Town of Mocksville – Special Meeting Notice – Triad Regional Council – July 26th

The Town of Mocksville Board of Commissioners will meet Wednesday, July 26th, 2017 at 4:00pm in the Town Board Room at the Mocksville Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a presentation from the Piedmont Triad Regional Council of Government on an employee classification and compensation study, and consider recommendations made at that time.

Public Notice – Invitation to Bid on Fire Department Driveway Repair Project

opportunityThe Town of Mocksville is accepting contractor bids for The Mocksville Fire Department rear driveway renovation.  The project consists of maintenance repairs to a storm drainage basin and driveway replacement in the rear of the Fire Department.

A single prime combined bid for all work will be received for the Mocksville Fire Dept’s Rear Driveway Renovation renovations by the Town of Mocksville in the Mocksville Town Hall, Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. located at 171 Clement St., Mocksville NC 27028, at which time the bids will be opened.

Notice of Public Hearing – Tuesday, August 1st – Street Renaming

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with requirements within chapter IV, article 4.3 of the Town of Mocksville Code of Ordinances, the Town Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 at 6 pm, or immediately following routine items of business on the Town Board’s Regular Meeting Agenda. The Public Hearing will be held at Town Hall, 171 S. Clement Street, Mocksville, NC.  The purpose of the meeting is to offer an opportunity for public input on a request made by the Davie County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to rename Depot Street in Mocksville to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

All parties, adjacent property owners, and interested citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard in favor of or in opposition to the foregoing changes.  Prior to the hearing, all persons interested may obtain any additional information on the proposal by visiting Town Hall at 171 S. Clement Street, or by calling (336) 753-6700.  All interested parties are invited and encouraged to attend.
